How accutane works?

I've been on 20mg of accutane for almost 4 months, which means ive taken total of 2240mg so far.

To complete the treatment the target is around 8400mg (it depends on weight and height)

If i continue with 20mg a day it would take around 11 months to reach that dose. Increasing the dose to 40mg would allow me to finish in about 7 months.

Right now, my skin is clear. Do I really need to reach the full target dose? Has anyone ever stopped before hitting it?

I want to finish accutane fast because im planning to treat my acne scars.

if ur skin is clear, keep doing 20. more will also have more side affects

yea but if i continue with 20mg it will finish in 11 months

im just trying to see if anybody quit accutane before reaching the target and if their results were well.

2 years ago I quit accutane after 6 months on 10mg. The acne came back but not nearly as bad as before .After 1year I took 10mg again for 3months but hat to stop because of surgery.
Now 4 months after that I start to take 20mg because I still have a few pimples sometimes. And a little bit of inflammation. I think i will take It for 6 months if my skin is absolutely clean then. But I should take it got 10monthd to reach the dose.
