If they open the convo it means they're interested in you (at least where I'm from) and responding just with "hey" doesn't give off any vibe whatsoever that you're interested in them.. Try to follow up with a question or a compliment (e.g. instead of writing "hey", write "hey, I really like your hair!" or "hey, you look great, do you wanna go for a coffee?").. From personal experience arranging a meeting asap instead of long tinder convos work better as well

Main objective is getting her number or insta with the pretext of hanging out to grab a drink, so you can get off that awful app. Depending of the girl's vibes you should be more agressive or less.
