how are club / bar scenes nowadays?

i havent went out in 6-7 months since i started cycling with roids and accutane , but im hopping off soon and will try clubbing / bars so im genuinely curious if its even worth it , but to me ruining my potential progress isnt worth it for a drunk mtb ..
