How are people happy?

I don't understand how people are able to feel happy. I can't think of anything that would make me feel happy long term. I don't think I'd be happy even if I got all the things I want in life

No one is telling me not to have kids. I just don't have any desire to have them. The thought of having and raising a child makes me feel uncomfortable and even repulsive
