I'm going to work for the government so they won't kill me. In 5th grade I read this fiction book about a boy going to space because the Earth was going to be hit by asteroid. They put them in cryopods to find a suitable planet. Forgot the name but I remember he was trying to bring his crush along too and failed. He was chosen to survive because his parents are astronaut.
