I'm 15 now, and I've been treating my acne for six months now. My left cheek is just a patch of skin, and my right cheek is just awful. I'm currently using a 15% azelaic acid gel and tranexamic acid cream 6%. I want to switch to tretinoin in August, but I don't know if it will help in my case. If tretinoin doesn't help me, then can anyone recommend a good online dermatologist who prescribes retinoids? I live in the middle of nowhere and I doubt I can get them here. I will be grateful for any answer. (I don't speak English well and I use a translator, so I apologize if anything in my text is unclear)

Tret is a retinoid , are you talking about isotretinoin
I can buy tretinoin without a prescription, but I can't buy isotretinoin. So I'm asking if tretinoin will help me. And if it doesn't, I need to see a dermatologist who can prescribe a prescription for accutane

Yes tretinoin will help you.

But isotretinoin (accutane) is the guarantee to nuke your acne

You also don't need a prescription to buy that, you can buy it online

Tried tret for 5 months 0,05%, didn’t do shit.
Now i’m on accutane and @ day 20 i’m seeing my skin clear up and i’m getting noticeably less pimples.

In my country, Accutane is sold strictly by prescription. It's delivered through marketplaces to pharmacies, where pharmacists check the prescription upon receipt. And I don't know what dose to take, which is why I need dermatologist. I need to understand what is better in my case: an appointment with a dermatologist or buying tretinoin without one.

Accutane is sold strictly by prescription everywhere, you can still buy it online e.g indiaMART

But anyway its clear you don't want to do that

My suggestion is start with tretinoin and make an appointment with your derm aswell.

If they think isotretinoin is best for you then go for it.

I personally use it at 10mg a day with taz and azealic acid
