I don't think people are really against eugenics, at least to the extent they might say.

People will always prefer for their offspring to have better features. And people act like it's bad, but between a choice of a child with Down syndrome or no child at all. Many people would abort (on Twitter there was a recent controversy). But many would've done the same, or if they knew they could alter the choice, they would 100%.

It's just saying the quiet part out loud is not correct. As it's associated with the extremes, however, the future is calling. The looks threshold keeps climbing. People might claim to be against it, but I'm sure they'll do the advantageous thing if available.

If we do use eugenics and magically everybody is 6'5 with a10 blue eyes and 140 iq that would be the norm, the average. some people would start to have kids that are taller than 6'5 and have iqs that are higher than 140. Those offsprings would then thrive as they are above average. You cannot simply use eugenics to make everyone the same.

plenty of diseases can occur naturally. your body is made up of trillions of cells that constantly divide and recycle themselves. a single wrong copy of a cell or dna damage can cause rapid cell division and the growth of tumours. we call this cancer. it can happen to anyone of any age, of any ethnicity, gender or class. in fact taller and larger people often have a higher risk for cancer just for having more cells in their body
