Now, you're going to say things like "do mewing," but I have a deep bite; no matter how much I mew, even if the upper jaw moves forward, the lower jaw continues to grow downwards. I don't want the lower jaw to grow downwards too much; I want it to grow forward.
I was researching something recently about how bones can adapt to many things. For example, if the mouth is open, the body shapes the bones in that direction to breathe better through the mouth. I have never been a mouth breather. However, because of the deep bite, the body is forced into downward growth.
I have a wide head structure and flared gonions; my gonions and cheekbones are almost the same width. But downward growth is lengthening my face, so even though I have a genetically short skull, I have a long skull because of this.
I can't go to a doctor to fix the deep bite because I can't explain anything to my family. Are there a few things I can do at home to alleviate the progression or solve this situation even a little bit?
