>have a friend who works as a paralegal
>he’s aware I tried applying at the same place in the past with no luck
>the other day, he went directly to one of the senior partners and put in a word for me since they need more employees
>he then said to email the senior partner my cv and a short paragraph explaining my interest in law, my need for experience, etc
>i send the email and attach the least impressive (and more honest) version of my cv
>one of the hiring managers reached out today and wants to do a virtual interview for tomorrow morning. I then suggested 1 pm.
>he says 1 pm is fine and sends me a link for the interview (it will be from 1 pm to 1:45 pm according to the invitation link)

I honestly would be disappointed if I got the job especially since it’s full time. If it were part time (ie once a week) I would be more willing. I just enjoy the neet life too much (my friend does not know I am a neet btw I just tell him that I still work in a restaurant jfl). What can I realistically do or say during the interview to lower my chances of getting the job? I can’t believe they even want to do an interview after reading my shitty cv jfl.
In all honesty, even if I wanted this job, I would be too nd for it.

Easy, just ask a lot of questions about how much money you’ll get and show disappointment and dissatisfaction and ask if it’ll improve

That can work. The thing is, I wouldn't want my friend to find out I said that jfl. What if the hiring manager tells my friend?

don’t think he will but if he does just say to your friend that it’s not enough for you and you prefer a better job

What makes you say he won't find out what I said? But thanks for the suggestion! If I don't go through with your advice, I can just let my nd-ness (ie anxiety and poor social skills) speak for itself and that can tank my chances as well. I can even play it.

*I can even play it up.

I have only been a neet for almost two months now. This job turns me off largely because it's full time. I just love having free time. Also, I just don't fit in at any job. The restaurant job I just left was borderline unbearable for me, so imagine if I worked at a law firm kms

I am worried that they will hire me regardless since my friend who already works there is acting as my social proof.
