Around here usually bars aren't the best place to meet new people. It's mostly groups of people that already know each other who go there. Really very few social opportunities as an adult if you don't already have a social circle

And drinking before going to most places isn't practical because you gotta drive so that would be a terrible idea to do that unless you had someone to drive you or could walk if it was close. Driving is actually one of my main hobbies anyway and I regularly do close to 100 miles an hour when the highway is empty at night

Another method is to go on Snapchat and quick add a shit ton of people from your school, or nearby ones. Then when a long weekend or holiday comes around, you look at where the bitmojis are all converged at, or if people are posting parties on their stories. Show up with your buddies, have fun, and hook up with drunk women.
