I’m Isotretinoin and I use concealer basically daily on my under eyes. Even though I apply moisturiser + sunscreen before hand under eyes started to become noticeably cakey when it dries down. Getting worse throughout the day.

Anyone have a solution?

When applying concealer using those makeup sponges helps alot. Apply very small amounts at a time and just lightly use a dabbing motion. Also in between steps for your moisturizer, spf, concealer, try waiting so the products have time to set in. If you aren't already use those more liquid hydrating concealers and not powders.

This could also be due to ingredients in your products not being compatible. A general guideline is if your makeup has silicone, the products you use before applying makeup should also have silicone and vice versa (silicone free makeup, silicone free products beforehand). This is a bit tough though and sometimes ingredients can just not work well together and it will be hard to know. If you have tried everything and it's still cakey, just try swapping the products.

Also, when you are on Accutane, you tend to have some dead skin underneath. Which makes makeup in general already cakey and annoying as fuck. I'm on taz and experience this as well. What helps is very gently exfoliating. But absolutely no harsh exfoliants since accutane. Avoid BHA'S and AHA'S and instead opt for a gentle PHA such as a gluconolactone serum. This helps remove dead skin much more gently and won't be irritating at all. I actually did some digging on skinsort.com and found a great one here: https://skinsort.com/products/axis-y/pha-resurfacing-glow-peel

A moisturizer with the ingredient Urea can also help. Low concentration 5-10 percent is ideal and it helps to soften the dead skin cells. Malezia has a great Urea moisturizer with good ingredients. This isn't that necessary though I don't use this. It can also be a bit too irritating on accutane. I've read mixed reviews on it but mostly positive.

One other thing is to just make sure your skin is super moisturized all the time. So at night before bed, after applying your moisturizer, apply a few drops of squalane ideally sugarcane derived as it's more clean on your face. This is basically very similar to oil your skin naturally produces and isn't comedogenic at all. It's also an occlusive and locks in moisture so in the morning you wake up with deeply hydrated baby smooth skin.

Lastly, using a good setting spray at the end of makeup can also help but I never used it myself ngl. I just know it helps your makeup melt in better.

Best of luck to you bro:)

Likely due to the amount you use just use a pea sized amount max for both under eyes maybe even less and instead of spreading tap around your undereyes evenly
