I've had this dogshit of a condition since lockdown (I was like 12 or 13) and its only gotten worse. Now its literally all over me and continues to spread and wont fuck off. Some nights I just wake up because of it flaring up and it really takes the piss.
As of rn its all over my lower and upper legs, goes all up my back (yes even my behind jfl) its on my scalp and as of recent months its developed more onto my upper body aswell. I use the topical stuff that the dermatologist tells me to use but it just isn't enough, at best it calms it for a few days but its still very much visible, and will soon come back angrier than before. it never goes away completely on my legs, I have no idea why its so stubborn on the lower body compared to the upper, but I literally have it head to toe.
I've seen posts saying its to do with diet and the primal thing helps with it, but how am I supposed to tell my parents I want to only eat food raw from a farm jfl. I'm 18 and live at home. I do eat cooked meat and love having meat in the diet. days swap between steak and gammon, and I eat a wrap that has bacon, eggs, cheese etc. on a night I just have whatever the fuck is available, mostly some kind of chicken though.
You could say it definitely effects my confidence, because confidence comes from looks and I'm a fucking hideous red freak that doesn't leave the house, id probably rope if it got serious on my face, I'm ugly enough as it is.
What can I realistically do to help it? or is just fucking over? people have way worse diets than me and have good skin. Its in my family but only small patches, and nobody else in this generation of my family has this condition, maybe I'm just a genetic defect, but any advice would be appreciated, I'm really struggling rn.
