How can i fix under skin pimples?

so ive kinda cleared most my acne now its only a few little red dots from old pimples ive used benzoyl peroxide 10% for 4 weeks and its been working great but yesterday i felt a kind of soft bump and it stung and today its a little more red and its ruining the surrounding area people say ice it or press a hot towel on it but im scared that will cause the redness and tenderness to increase so what do i do?
