could be a month, could be a year, depends on what you chew with, how long for, age, hormones etc...
How old are you?
chew mastic gum for an hour on each side every day except sunday and you should see results in a few months

Get an implant. However, if your ramus isn’t long enough, it will looks shit due to lack of vertical projection. Make sure it’s a vertical lengthening implant in addition to lowering the gonial angle. I’ve honestly never seen a good result from this though.
