How can i start reading

I feel like my mind never concentrates or picks up whatever I am reading, instead it constantly wants to grab my phone. I tried reading for 20 minutes earlier, I did it without picking up my phone but can’t explain or summarise what I read. It feels like a waste of time if I can’t remember anything I read.

Any advice on how I can read for longer and understand what I am reading
