How can I whiten my skin?

I'm 15, I have minor skin problems in the form of acne, and I want to make my skin lighter than it is now. I'm white, but because of acne, my skin on my face looks slightly tanned (although I'm slightly tanned myself because I spend a lot of time in the sun and don't use sunscreen). Are there any safe (and preferably quick) ways to whiten it?

Won't soap dry out my skin? I don't want acne to take over my face again.

Just use a moisturiser like cerave, or if you only care about your face, use a kojic acid cream.

Melanin inhibitors can lighten skin, but use sunscreen
