Im pretty sure I have a slight case of tmj or something. I have tried to train my masseter on the weaker side but whenever I chew I only feel it on the strong side masseter. Is there any way to minimize the asymmetry without surgery?

The reason you feel the chewing on the stronger side is because chewing is mostly an automatic process, and because if you have TMJ youre going to have less stability when biting

so when you chew, electrical impulses are sent to your dominant masseter earlier and more frequently, so doing the masseter training is just making your issue worse as its going to make the dominant masseter even stronger, whilst your weaker one is cucked

Bro hop on dutasteride

I appreciate that bro, so what would you recommend I do in that case to minimize it?

Try to address the TMJ by doing massages on the dominant masseter, physical therapy, or posture correction
