How can you have a wide palpebral fissure length and deep set eyes/hooding simultaneously?

I've heard people say that for a hunter eye area you want to have deep set eyes, with the argument being that it's necessary for hooding which is a key feature to achieve the look. However, another important feature for the hunter look is to have a wide palpebral fissure length, which I can only imagine would be optimized for LESS deep set eyes, because the distance between the medial and lateral canthi necessarily increases as the eyes get pushed out of the skull.

Yet men with attractive, hunter eye areas manage to have both somehow. So obviously there's this conflict between the two features, how is that conflict resovled in attractive people? Is it just fat hooding, with deep set eyes not being as important as often touted? Or is it a big brow ridge? Or something else?
