How can you tell if your recessed/boneless

I’ve been seeing a lot of people on org talk about being recessed and they show a picture of themselves but to me they don’t look that recessed it could just be me but can someone tell me how to tell

I don’t think I’m recessed because when I look in the mirror I can see the bone in my face
