How come no one has hacked the brain to never limit dopamine?

The reason anything gets boring or why you can develop a tolerance to any substance one earth is because your brain always wants to stabilize dopamine and it lowers or produces more depending on how stimulating what you do is.

Is there a way to hack this process imagine just having the feeling of meth or something except the feeling never goes away you always feel stimulated and it never gets old or builds a tolerance

Dopamine is in every muscle as well. Too much will make you unable to relax efficiently. Amph will give u giga dopamine for a day tho

Yeah its bad in the long term tho and your brain gets used to it and stops making its own dopamine

this leads to schizophrenia

they have its called gooning

because your brain doesn't have unlimited dopamine in first place
get dopamine precursors

I'm too low IQ to understand

Because if you had unlimited dopamine you would just lay down 24/7 and don’t do anything not even drink or eat

that would be a one-way ticket to the asylum since the purpose of neurotransmitters is to carry chemical signals you get from the environment from one neuron to another. it feels good (dopamine) via the proxy of its function, not because it has some magical chemical property.

artficially altering your dopamine levels too much would act disorienting and you'd get anhedonia pretty fast and, in case on prolonged abuse of drugs, probably schizophrenia (since your receptors would get damaged and your brain would have a much harder job at perceiving and interpreting everything that goes on around you; you could also say goodbye to your memory and linguistic ability)

I thought dopamine is what drives you to get out of bed in the first place?

Yeah I guess your brain does the things it does for very good reasons. I just wish I could always feel stimulated/motivated but it seems thats not possible

as cringy and dravidian as it sounds, mindfulness is the answer

ever heard of coke?

dopamine is the reward you get for achieving something. But if you have unlimited dopamine already you don’t need to achieve anything in order to get dopamine since you already have dopamine.

Do heavy amounts of acid everyday for a year to induce spiritual schizophrenia and you will have what you want

No that's if you had unlimited serotonin

ever heard of coke?
Coke builds up a tolerance. Coke is also the worst drug ever man. You feel amazing for 30 minutes like winning the lottery good then terrible for 10 hours

tried it it was boring as fuck

So just dose on acid/shroom 24/7

Nothing's permanent

If you had unlimited dopamine, you'd die. You can't "hack" the brain to obtain infinite dopamine because that would require either more neurons, meaning an infinitely large brain, or infinitely frequent firing of neuron receptors, which would require inhuman amounts of energy over the long run (which also demonstrates that it'd require an infinite amount of time, of which humans do not possess).

Just run electricity through the brain theory?

If doing things by getting out of bed gave you dopamine but if you could feel pleasure without having to do anything, then you would probably just rot and do nothing forever and still feel satisfied

Fried brain
before that psychosis
before that addiction. Look at methhead binges

but ngl I naturally can have high levels of dopamine; it mogs

Dopamine doesn't make you feel happy it just makes you feel motivated

Also, people just consider eugenics or 'hacking' the human genes as immoral and dangerous, which is why most people who would have worked in the fields of eugenics then became engineers and computer scientists as now they are trying to make programable human-like appliances.

They confirmed many times we can hack and change a human gene to make it anything we want but they just haven't gone around to doing it. Same with life-expectancy technology.

I would agree but I think we have no choice.

We are in an artificial environment already are hormones are fucked with brains everything is out of wack. In the past none of this stuff would be necessary

“Imagine a society that subjects people to conditions that make them terribly unhappy then gives them the drugs to take away their unhappiness. Science fiction It is already happening to some extent in our own society. Instead of removing the conditions that make people depressed modern society gives them antidepressant drugs. In effect antidepressants are a means of modifying an individual's internal state in such a way as to enable him to tolerate social conditions that he would otherwise find intolerable.”
