Because it’s retarded. How are you gonna run a study that would show the effects? You need to hit areas of your face / body with hard objects and a good amount of force, with proper neck posture so your neck doesn’t get injured. Even with this you can still get a brain injury.
You can’t really test this on other species because they don’t have similar bone structure and therefore aren’t admissible.

It’s not that ufc fighters grew their bones from bone smashing. It was a combination of consistently high testosterone and the genetic base to allow for their facial build and assist their “fighting success”.
