You could wear clothes that arnt ultra wide or baggy helping your general frame look taller.
Some shoes can fraud even more than just 3cm i believe 4-5 you can also get insole layering

7.5cm+ looks totally obvious, especially if he takes his shoes off.
About 5-5,5cm are fine, since most people’s shoes have 2-4cm of sole height anyway, so it won’t be too noticeable even if he removes them at some point.

there are also things you can put under your sock i believe it adds extra 1-2cm helping you go up to 5cm with shoe lifts aswell
