How dangerous is Romania?

Considering to move there due to low taxes. Seems like a shithole though. Is it reasonably safe? And where would you move to? Of course Bucharest seems interesting because it has an airport and at least allows you to GTFO of Romania quickly. LOL

I have talked about Bulgaria and Romania for ages. My plan is to set up an internet business that makes a good deal of profit. Now if I don't have to pay taxes (or next to nothing) I will get to where I want to be twice as fast. There is no point in running a business when you have to pay 50% taxes like I do here in Germany. So the way I see it it is either wageslaving for the rest of my life or move to a low tax country for 5 years and make a lot of cash during that time.

its not dangerous at all its way more safe than america and uk and i would say its safer than germany as well. many people are friendly the athmosphere is a lot livelier and less depressing if you have money its one of the best countries the big cities look good too, if ur poor its hell on earth

Bucharest is probably the best place to live. Most old people don't speak english but any gen Z should be able to speak it fluently since they learn it intensively in school. Romanian is pretty easy to speak and even if you speak it wrong people will stil understand you.
