How did it all go wrong

Picture 1 is me right before I got braces I believe and then picture 2 is me currently (16 about to turn 17) I always thought my nose bump was from a previous trauma when I was younger but I’m starting to realize it’s probably cuz my maxilla is so shit. Never considered surgery but my maxilla is cooked so what can I do.
