How did salludon improve his colouring so much?

Obviously the bone changes from “mewing” were the main factor in his final form but I feel like people dismiss the change in his colouring too.

He went from typical light Pakistani to having obvious red/ rosy undertones to his cheeks and face.

Kinda inclined to think he is using makeup or something.
