How did the old generations live?

Its hard to imagine there daily life without Phones, social media etc they didn’t have computers or anything like that. Now the average human spends 9h+ a day on the screens that’s not even including work so if you add like a typical office job you are spending 8 hours in front of a screen then coming back home for another 3-4 hours screen time basically your whole life is spent staring at a screen
