How do autists endure masking

Are the returns really worth it, do you look forward to downtime where you can be your regular autistic self again or is it just something you suffer in order to survive

that's also the appeal of LDARing on org as opposed to real interaction

That's just a cost-benefit analysis, does benefit of masking make the mental cost worth it? If you're okay reveling in the social exile of ND hell, then that's fine! It's truly a person to person question though.

well i’d assume the consequences you’d face by not masking eg ridicule or bullying would be enough to keep you motivated

they don't they get a burn out at age 30 and kill themselves hence why the average lifespan is so low on the spectrum.
