ES ratio is equal to ipd divided by bizygomatic width, so curtains would make the ES ratio lower because it increases bizygomatic width.

So actually curtains are good for high ES ratio-cels (high ipd), low ipd with curtains actually makes it look worse.

So logically if you hide zygos the ES ratio is irrelevant because it’s not visible.

That means the only ratio left that matters is the IPD, so if you have a low one you’re gonna look subhuman.

To balance low ipd you need to have short sides so the bizygomatic width appears as low as possible.

So if you have an ipd of 60mm and a bizygomatic width of 270mm(short sides), the ES ratio is 60/270=0.45

But if you have a higher ipd of 70mm and you fraud bizygomatic width with curtains/grown sides and get 315mm the ES ratio is the same, 70/315=0.45

So again, if you have subhuman ipd just keep your sides as low as possible to balance ES ratio.
