Absence of melanin in their irises. The lack of melanin in these fibres allows for the scattering of light, particularly shorter wavelengths. Known as the Rayleigh scattering effect. Similar to the way the sky appears blue.
The density of the stroma's collagen fibres and the amount of melanin pigment in the iris is what primarily dictates why some blue eyes are lighter than others.

that is still not as light though. husky have several shades lighter.
I think they have a mix of colors, including white in their iris that makes it look even lighter.

them having white in their eyes is probably the reason why even when they have green eyes it appears several shades lighter.

higher concentration of collagen strands
this is what human blue eyes with very coarse collagen look like:

the actual melanin levels might as well be the same

I saw a post on this. makes sense when you really think about. also apparently some huskies eyes are literally white in some areas surrounded by a bit of color making appear a lot lighter too.

A lot of predators in nature tend to have extremely pale eyes in general, regardless of hue. Lions might have "light brown" eyes in hue, but they turn out as light as human blue eyes if you look at luminosity levels.

do you think it is because lighter eyes are more adapted to the night which allows hunter to find prey easier when it gets dark out

They are descendants from David Gandy

I dont even know man, evolution isnt so simple. It could be due to pure chance, or sexual selection like in humans
