You want the results but aren’t prepared to put the effort in to get there. You have to treat studying like a job. Besides, once you get better at something you start to enjoy it more in my experience

Depends. If you’re in the US just practice SATs years in advance instead. It’s more worthwhile.

If not, good grades -> high tier colleges -> better job opportunities
