How do I act more normal socially?

i feel like i come off as very awkward and neurodivergent cause i sturggle communicating to others, it was so bad at one point people thought i was mute and just couldn't talk at all. i fail to hold a long conversation with most people, even my closest of friends and it really sucks

this is mainly because i have social communication disorder but i really want to overcome it, i need some advice

being social inept is one of the hardest things to cover up if you didnt get the experience and building blocks from a young age. there are so many cues and rules to pick up
