Don't just randomly start taking accutane, since it has side effects. If your acne bothers you, visit a dermatologist. He might recommend you something lighter like tretinoin cream. Accutane is the last resort.

Don’t listen to him Accutane is by the best method for getting rid of acne side effects are not bad either all it is is dry lips and skin mostly unless you get like extremely unlucky I got on it 4 months ago with severe acne and now it’s 99% gone

Can't believe how many greys telling to start taking accutane just like that. Listen to what a professional dermatologist tells you, not randoms on org.

"Results: A total of 28 items were selected for our literature review including: one FDA drug label, one FDA website of adverse reactions, 19 supplemental articles, six case reports, and one case series of premature epiphyseal closure secondary to isotretinoin. The FDA received 41 reports worldwide of premature epiphyseal closure related to isotretinoin in patients under 18 years of age. Additionally, premature epiphyseal closure and growth plate abnormalities occurred in nine patients with various durations and doses of isotretinoin ranging from the lowest dose of 0.5 mg/kg/day for a few months to 3.5 mg/kg/day for years." 🥰

fair enough i wasnt aware of this however it does state: Isotretinoin-induced premature epiphyseal closure and growth plate deformities seem to be linked to higher doses of isotretinoin for the duration of months to years. I recommend a low dose e.g 10mg. Though i also can see how you view it as teen acne is temporary but height is permanent.
