How do i check if my growth plates are still open (16M)

I heard you have to get an XRAY of your hand, but can I do this without proper reasoning? like i havent broken anything i just want to see if my growth plates are open or not to determine if i should take HGH. How do i do this in the UK and actually pull it off

just ask them, u wont die from asking and ur reasoning is to check if ur growth plates are closed. and if u know ur still growing then ur growth plates arent closed yet but just go ask them
