Get with people who shares the same interests as you. You can get to know them though extracurricular classes, school discord server, etc. But if you're a weirdo with uncommon interests (like me) its def harder to get friends who you'd ACTUALLY consider friends.

Yea getting friends/ friend group is mostly right place right time type of thing. Being nt is obviously bare minimum (also for every other form of socialization and human interaction)

For some reason even when I was a virgin incel I always had normie friends. I wasn't that good looking but I looked healthy-ish (no acne or weird looking face), always did sports, was active, played music instruments in bands, etc.

But deep from the inside I was the biggest incel geek you could know. E.g. I loved speedrunning, SGDQ, videogames, retro videogames, console modding, MMORPG's etc. Still do. I have more connection with those people (geeks) than "normies". But for some reason I never had friends who were geeks. Which I found sucked as well. I could never talk with people about those things. Those people (geeks) never accepted me ironically. But normies did.

So while I do shit on normies sometimes, normies were way better to me than the people who I had more in common with.

How I acted was: I was funny. I was a clown and made people laugh. It's the easiest way to be around normies. But I was also loyal and "chill". Never really talked back to my friends. Went along with them. SO I was easy to be around. That's key. If you have a too big ego it will be hard to make friends. Especially if you are not attractive.

Find a chad/leader type of person and hang out with him. Become loyal to him. Become his soldier. And he will bring you along to other people. You have to put your ego aside if you are not attractive enough. I had like 3-4 leader type of friends and they all introduced me to different social circles.

TLDR; try to be laidback and funny. But don't lose yourself in the process. It's the easiest way to gain friends. If you are not funny naturally well then I can't help.
