How do i convince my parents to get rid of my toung tie

I have been on bp since i was 12, i have known my tounge tie is a problem for a year now. Rn, i have a slight overbite, if i cut my tounge tie will i be able to fix the overbite if i have good tounge posture. And also, how do i even convince my parents to get my tounge tie cut. They ussaly dont really go with this stuff, and always think im too dramatic.

Ik now its not an activity. Im just saying i knew about this stuff since then and was severly insecure about my looks. However that insecurity began when i was like 9

i have an ex who did surgery on herself, i dont reccomend but its possible i guess or like justs go to your parents and cry or something idk lowk

To be honest, releasing your tongue tie won’t really help you too much with an overbite. That being said, I don’t regret my tongue tie release one bit. It’s not too expensive, it should cost $400-$600. Find an excuse to not see your parents for a week and get the surgery. Recovery is quick. A week is all you need. Hard to hide it day of surgery.
