What is your prefered tool to cut yourself and how deep you cut without getting scars ? Last time i used razor blades and cut a little too deep, i wanna avoid this next time

I used a pencil sharpener razor when I was 15, and lightly if you don't want scars. But cutting is a bad cope does nothing and then you potentially get scars and people know you're mentally ill. I'll have to get a tattoo on my shoulder eventually for it
