would using a retainer/myobrace do this and how long would it take daily?

overbites are difficult to fix. The only true way to fix it is maxillofacial surgery.

The DIY method is mewing + overjetting so you have a normal bite.

i feel like it CAUSED mine though. and doesnt it push your maxilla forward first? wouldnt that temporarily cause even more of an overbite before the mandible goes forward proportionately leaving you with the same overbite?

How the fuck do you mew dude?
There are thousands of videos out there trying to piggybank on the random stranger looking for advice on how to perform this correctly, today I am going to give you what Dr. Mike Mew himself says is the correct way to mew.

Your tongue should be on the palate pushing UP instead of outwards on the teeth, all that while aligning your teeth and trying to not have a overbite. Yep, that simple.

Let’s find that perfect spot!

If you’re having trouble say “nanana”, that’s where your tongue should be. Encased inside your mouth, you should actively try to push the “root” of your tongue in the palate.

By mewing the correct way your lower third and other things improve, not just the maxilla.

The idea is that this will become a habit and something that you naturally do, after all it’s the correct posture your tongue should have.

If you cannot do this while sleeping like most people, users suggested something like this:

I have not purchased or tested anything like this.

NOTE: If you have trouble breathing while mewing THIS video by “Mentor My Life” might help you out.

For more advice about mewing check: https://the-great-work.org/ (their community forum is great).

tongue on roof teeth and mouth closed. i have to curve my tongue for it to push on the roof.

corrective jaw surgery

I need this, I have a small palate and weak chin.

My overbite is already just caused by the maxilla.

Bracers and palate expander I guess

but did they push forward your lower jaw/correct your overbite?

wtf are you on about?
They fucked up the alignment of the front teeth which lead to the lower jaw being pushed back

It's too forward causing too much nostril exposure. I think my lower third is actually normal but the maxilla makes it look recessed.
