how do i fix my damaged hair?

My hair is hella damaged and i dont know how to fix it. Im trying to grow it out and its fucking bothering me. I use a powder called Shwarzkopf Taft and its in a white container but it doesnt help. I shower my hair with natural shampoo (i atleast i think so) every 2-3 days and it looks so dead and bad. Even my gf told me it looks bad
