i feel like i can force myself to talk to people but its just weird man its like im putting up a facade

so as somebody who's probably been struggling for years, the only answer is very dependant on how bad it is

it kind of also depends how your social anxiety works, is it:

1. Environment based: are you anxious around specific people (i.e. classmates), but don't have the same problem with others?

or

2. Universally based: are you anxious just in general around most people you come across anywhere?

one way or the other, if it isn't severe then you can get around it by becoming desensitized to social interaction if you're isolated, or if it's really bad like mine then the only solution that will ever truly work is substances (alcohol, beta blockers, stims etc)

btw before any retard says that stims just make you more anxious, it worked for me so it's not a universal truth that stims make you act up (IN FACT IT'S THE OPPOSITE IF YOU HAVE ADHD)

it's hard to say, same thing applies with social desensitization. the issue is that it's much harder since obviously you can't just approach randoms and if it goes wrong you can forget about it (they're your peers, duh)

like i said the easiest solution is just substance abuse, it's not a good long term solution by any means but it's the only that works for me unfortunately, but for you maybe you wouldn't even have to take anything too heavy or do so for very long, because once you get used to being around the people you're anxious around you might not need the substance anymore to lower ur inhib enough (again, this doesn't apply to me, meaning I'll have to do it ad infinitum till i fucking die xddd)

I’m only really anxious around women that I don’t know that I see day in day out

When it comes to talking to women that I know I’m perfectly fine but if I sit next to some random girl in class it takes me like a month to start getting comfortable so the whole time it’s very awkward

I went 3 months without talking to the girl who sat to the left of me and only talked to the one on the right

I would say I’m very low inhib around teachers, randoms outside and friends of friends.
