You have the same hair type as me, if you want your hair to look good you need to let it grow to atleast nose/philtrum length

Hair looks fine just too short. Grow it out. Shampoo 1-2 times a week. Get a fade haircut and grow out the top. It’s that easy

On a serious note start growing it out n once every 3-4 months get a low taper n get a perm if necessary
