How do I improve my social life in college?

I just finished first year uni and did not go out at all really. All I did was gym, home, and classes the whole year. I didn’t dorm and still don’t dorm.

I want to start having a social life and be friends with more people and have access to more girls aswell. How do I improve my social life at an American college?

I won’t be going to parties w alcohol and girls and shit like a degenerate. I want to expand my social life in anyplace but those, so parties are off limits.
