How do I know if my CT scan was 3D?

The 3D protocol was sent to the CT scanning center but when I viewed the Dicom on OsirixLite I only saw 2D imaging. Is this a software issue? Is the 3D reconstruction done afterwards ?

I'd be beyond pissed if I did a needless CT scan.

You should have a bunch of slices if it was 3D.
