The most convenient but also the most inaccurate method is to see that from your profile your upper maxilla (so a few mm after the lips) is at least level with the nasion

The most accurate method is using cephalometrics on an X-Ray

now the closer your philtrum is to the vertical line the better. compare with mm's to see the difference.
