Why? If the person has a similar mental condition and is from the same cultural background chances are you will understand eachother more.

Of course this won't work with things like narcicissm for example, because they will hate to compete with eachother. But with schizophrenia, ADHD, etc, they can be friends if they have a chance to meet eachother properly
