I am in a very large school with different people in all of my classes. Ever since i switched schools, it has been very difficult for me to form a friend group or join a social circle. I am in various clubs in school, and try to talk to the people around me but often only have short conversations (ex: asking for the time, asking to borrow paper/pencil, small talk about the class being boring.) and it doesnt help that I am not a funny person, and i don't laugh very easily so im not very fun to be around. I don't sit alone at lunch, i sit with one kid from one of my classes. We don't talk much, but its saving us from sitting alone. I've tried to have conversations with him but it seems like we have nothing in common. It feels like i have nothing in common with anybody at this school, i want to go back to my old school so bad. Im willing to try and put myself out there, but i just dont know how because i can't really flip a switch from being someone who keeps to himself into an obnoxious jester overnight.
