How do I minimize pain in my toe I’m doing a self surgery (again)

I’ve got a really ingrown toenail and it’s like on a nerve right now I know that cause when I went to poke around and see where it was I found it and when I moved it I felt a sharp pain in my toe and whole leg and my leg jolted and I hit myself in the face so does anyone have ideas

I’m not doing that again they gave me 3 shots of lidocaine and that shit still hurt yes it was a much much much larger ingrown but they did a shitty job I likely will do a worse job with a sharp knife but whatever

Yeah dude I had an ingrown for like 6 almost 7 months straight I did cut out small pieces but by like month 4 I couldn’t even fucking get in there it was so swollen and infected it was fucked but in like January I finally got it removed I have a pic of the ingrowns but I’m not gonna put it in here it’s kinda gross
