how do i prepare myself for going to school in america

what do americans like i’m from london with a british accent when i go over there i get glazed alot especially for my height too
but if i settle in what how do i settle into society and high school life?what do people like there and how can i fit in because i know its way different to the UK

idk man, just be yourself and you'll find a friend group that's right for you
if you pretend to like things you have no interest in it's just gonna be a chore rather than be fun to hang out with people

well i heard u guys only have one break and that’s lunch so how do you find a friend group with so many people too?no one will know me

I'm not from america, just giving general advice
but you don't need to wait until lunch, start a conversation with someone from class.
there is a pretty good chance people will come up to you to talk just because you are new
or try signing up for an after school activity of some sorts or join a sports team if any peek your interest
