How do I retain my lip moisture

When I’m home my lips are super plump and very full, however when I go outside, my lips thin and lose color visibly in around 1-2 hours especially if im out with somebody and talk.
I’ve tried using vaseline and then aquaphors lip balm with spf, but nothing really retains the moisturise, thickness and color.

Is there anything i’m missing out on? And have any of you had this issue

Try washing your lips first and then while wet apply vaseline, that's what works for me

Moisturizing sticks that you can buy and shops are pretty trash. My mom made some for my family and they keep the moisture without the weird shine for like seven hours. It’s been amazing.

I do that, even scrub off the dead skin cells, they become super plump after vaseline but honestly cant seem to retain the moisture outside especially if i talk a lot my lips drain quickly ngl

Vaseline is literally a mineral oil which is used for machining if I’m not mistaken it doesn’t even get absorbed into your lips at all. It’s more of a protective layer for your lips but it’s not like you’re gonna get your lips slashed open.

Vaselines main function is adding a protective layer via petroleum jelly which locks in moisture and prevents water loss so it’s not that bad, good when combined with an actual moisturizer, share moms moisturizing stick twin ill check it out.

You can’t really tell. Just gotta apply it like girls apply lip stick so you gotta wipe away anything that’s not on your lips
