Have supershitty skin from sun damage, horrible colour, scars, eye bags and it's usually sensitive

How do I fix this? Heal the damge and make it look good, it would easily add 2 points to my scale i look much hotter from a distance/good lighting than up cold

So far I've decided to wear sunscreen daily, ordered a derma roller and will buy a vitamin c serum,

Is a moisturizer necessary or can it be bad for normal skin in the long term? Can I get sunscreen off with just water or do I need to use a cleanser? How often should I apply vitamin c? I've thought about applying after derma rolling 2-4times a week
What else am I missing/doing wrong?

Till yesterday I didn't know shit about skincare so any advice I would appreciate

Daily
Face wash 2x(once in morning once at night)
Then moisturise 2x(morning should have spf 15)

Weekly
Derma rolling(ask someone else)
Facial scrub 1x
I’m not sure about dermarolling but I think that’s too often,Improving your diet will improve your skin drastically

Here's my limited understanding on skincare and what I currently do.

  • first and foremost, eat a clean diet
  • wash twice daily, morning and night
  • moisturize after washing
  • exfoliate either once daily or every other day (preferably at night to avoid photo-sensitivity)
  • sunscreen always before being in direct sunlight

The above list if what I currently do and my skin is about 90% clear, even skin tone, and smooth. From there you can add things like microneedling, microderm abrasion, retinols, etc. as you see fit.

Moisturizer is a must have. Most sunscreens will not be completely removed with water, but any cleanser will remove it (wash your face at least once a day at night, morning too might not be best if you have dry skin like me). Use vitamin c after dermarolling. Also, dermarolling frequency depends on the size of needles. Always always always use lukewarm water. Too cold or too hot will shock the skin and dry it.
Overall, the best thing for skin is time + a consistent skincare routine. Here's @Nibba's guide for skincare: https://looksmax.org/threads/truth-about-skincare-nibbas-guide-to-healthy-glowing-skin.9131/

Thanks guys but What longterm benefits are there to moisturizering? The few studies there are havent shown any and it actually stops your skin from producing moisture naturally making you reliant on it

I could be wrong though but I don't see much need in moisturizering unless my skin gets dry and doesn't adapt

I'll be starting of with. 25 needles and build up from derma rolling once a week to every other day(that's the limit for that length) than move to longer stuff. Does anyone know longterm effects of this stuff?

I forget about retonin a

Where can I get it? When to apply it? Should i wait for a few weeks till i have the other stuff sorted first(VC, derma and retonin all at once might be too much only so much healing can happen)? Do i need a certain vitamin c serum or will any one I can grab at boots work?

If you haven't had a proper skincare routine before, unless you have a lot of acne scarring or something I think you're jumping into dermarolling and tretinoin a bit fast. I would recommend you start with a basic routine and consistently stick to it for a few months before getting into those other things.

Everyone's skin is different so if you dont need a moisturizer, that's alright. Dermarolling, depending on the length of the needle, can do multiple things, but overall it just improves skin quality and decreases scarring. I know this foid who dermarolls her entire body 3x a week with .5 needles and she's got perfect skin. Retin A can be obtained through your dermatologist, but you can get it off your friendly neighborhood Indian pharmacist, as mentioned in @Nibba's thread. Vitamin C Powder is also preferable as Vitamin C loses its efficacy overtime, which is also explained in great detail in @Nibba's thread. I use dermarolling once a week and Retin A every other day. It shouldnt be an issue as long as you're not getting Retin A in your bloodstream. Anything you use on your face 24 hours after dermarolling can get into your bloodstream through microtears created by dermarolling, so be mindful of that.

That Nibba routine looks dope I'll look in to that stuff more, so far I'm just not leaving the house without 50spf and cleansing at night,

Do you think it would be better to start with retonin or derma rolling first?

Stop putting max at the end of everything.
Also use tretinoin

read one word before scrolling down I did not
