Im sure theres an obv answer here: reviews. but still i want to a strong base of evidence that my surgeon wont b

You need to plan the surgery for him and hope he doesn't fail executing your plan somehow.

There's no magic checklist that guarantees a surgeon won't botch you. Reviews and before‑after pics are just a filter — they weed out the obvious hacks. If you don't know how to plan a basic idea of your own surgery then don't do surgery
